How To Find The Right Niche For Me Part 2
How Do I Find The Right Niche For Me ?: Part 2
Questions to ask when looking for the right niche for you.
• What are the topics that I most interested and know most about?
• Does this niche have a large market ?
• Is my topic a stayer ?
• Will there be relevant products and services for this niche?
• How large is competition in this market?
• Will it be profitable?
(1) While all the above are important you can also look at the opposite of what is written above.
The niche does not necessarily have to be something you know a lot about. This goes against some of the previous discussions but with all the information available these days it is easier to become an authority in anything, so if anything takes your fancy…GO FOR IT !
You can become an expert at anything if you read and research a lot.
(2) Sometimes flash in the pan niches can be very profitable. Trends come and go and with some of the electronics available today it will be a flash in the pan. Wouldn’t you have like to be around as a retailer when the “walkman”came out. Every man and his dog had one !
So you can see you can use a new trend to make money and its even better to be doing it on the internet as the audience is worldwide, not just confined to your corner of the the earth. For example….did you see the lines waiting for the IPad to come out?
(3) It doesn’t matter if your product is a stayer. If your blog is for commercial reasons move on to the next topic, if your product isn’t a stayer or try to find another product associated with your niche. There will be others. Just do keyword searches with the keyword tools to dig deeper.
Alternatively if you are creating an authority blog there will be many different products that will be associated with your niche. Every post you do can be associated with a different product. Always provide good content and value in your posts.
(4) There will always be relevant products to your niche. Just dig for the long tails in keyword phrases.

You will be surprised at the amount of things you can dig up.
(5) You could think that if the market is large there will be too much competition but the opposite is true on the internet. The larger market means popularity and therefore is an excellent opportunity.
(6) Is it profitable ? If you are promoting an ongoing product like a membership it can be very profitable to you in the long run as you get paid a proportion of the monthly fee each and every month.
But many small amounts add up over time so do not dismiss things like Adsense or other advertising platforms where you share the profits with the advertiser in return for allowing them to use your site as advertising space.
